According to a study by TrueCar.com, 56% of New Beetles are owned by females, more than any other single model. As a whole, Volkswagen is much more gender neutral. So what is it about the Beetle that makes women weak at the knees?
Maybe it is the alloy wheels, heated front seats, cruise control, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel and a CD/MP3 audio system with satellite radio, and rear spoiler. I like the oomph and power that it has when you’re driving it – that and the fact that it has a lot more room than you’d think.
But focus groups show that the things ladies love most about the New Beetle is being seen in it. I can think of no other car that sparks more cult-like retro-creativity than the Volkswagen Beetle. Take German Markus Voglreiter, for example. 2003 he actually built his very posh home in the shape of a Volkswagen beetle:

The Volkswagen Beetle must have some special “je ne sais qoi” to have the loyal and dedicated following it does. And this following isn’t just in the last decade. The Beetle has been a beloved addiction for families across the world since the 30′s.
Even the early Beetles were tough and strong. So strong that during the 60′s many Beetle addicts turned their vehicles into motorhomes:
